Donegal to Mayo

Take in the majesty of Mullaghmore Head, Downpatrick Head and Keem Strand to name just a few as you travel from Donegal to Mayo along the Wild Atlantic Way. Prepare to be charmed and beguiled by the sights and sounds of the many landmarks and discovery points along the way.

Mullaghmore Head - a paradise for surfers with a reputation for gigantic 'prowler' waves, located off the coast of Sligo.

Downpatrick Head - a spectacular headland in Mayo rising 38 metres from the sea.

Keem Strand - Keem Beach is a rural and sheltered beach surrounded by cliffs on Ireland's largest island - Achill Island.

Mayo to Clare

As you continue through the Wild Atlantic Way, the Mayo to Clare section of the route will offer up its own unique landscape for your pleasure.

The picturesque fjord of Killary Harbour, the patchwork of tiny lakes in the Derrigimlagh Bog, while the magnificent world renowned Cliffs of Moher in nearby Clare need no introduction. The wealth of scenic attractions on route is worth savouring.
